Ignite the Fire of Passion

1992

/ A passion for excellence is ignited: Wide Ocean sets up business to provide OEM paper printing services to customers.

2001

/ Pre-press workflow converted to computer to plate instead of traditional film.

/ Won our first award in the Hong Kong Printing Awards.

2002

/ Purchased first ever 6-color KBA in Hong Kong region.

/ Received our first printing award in the the international Annual Gold Ink Awards.

2004

/ Established affiliated production factory (Guanlan, Shenzhen, China).

/ Won two international Awards: Premier Print Award and Sappi Trading Printer of the Year.

Planting the Seeds for Sustainable Printing

2007

/ Obtained first-ever FSCTM certificate, aligning the company’s values with legal and sustainable sources.

2008

Completed re-allocation of production lines to Mainland China factory.

2016

/ Obtained an SA 8000 certificate and purchased KOMORI Lithrone- branded 6-colour HUV sheetfed offset press.

2018

/ Purchased Scodix brand digital production effects for UV and foil printing, one of our long-term investments for the future.

Investment for Long-Term Thrive

2019

/ Re-located affiliated production factory to Pingshan, Shenzhen and installed energy-efficient LED lamps throughout the workplace. Installed an enhanced VOC treatment system.

2022

/ Celebration! Wide Ocean marks its 30th anniversary.

2023

/ Installed solar panels to produce renewable energy and achieve greater sustainability in the company’s operations

/ Introduced waste-liquid solidification equipment for filtration; added cold foil stamping machine that provides significant reductions in time and requires less energy to operate.
